Městská policie hlavního města Prahy

The Municipal Police of the Capital Prague started to operate on the territory of the Czech capital on 11 May 1992. Its activity traditionally includes in particular the ensuring of public order in the city. The organisation employs more than 2500 constables, who detect and deal with around 1 million misdemeanours per year. One integral part of their work also consists of preventative and security events focussing, for example, on transport or safety of citizens.
