SŽDC – Railway Infrastructure Administration

The state-owned Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) company was established in 2003. Its basic mission is to operate the national rail system, as well as regional lines owned by the state. It handles assets comprising the railway infrastructure and is responsible for their operability and modernization. The organization is a member of the International Railway Union, the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies and other major railway associations.
