Slezská univerzita v Opavě
Slezská univerzita v Opavě (the Silesian University in Opava) was founded in 1991 and currently has three faculties. It is a member of the European University Association, maintains contacts with a range of international universities and collaborates intensively with other universities in the general area, notably those located in the Polish region of Silesia. Its prominent activities include support for students with specific educational needs. For this reason, the university includes a counseling and career center which has operations in Opava as well as in Karviná.
